    How much more research needs to be done on this issue? The physics are pretty simple; a hard blow to the head causes a concussion. Since physical contact is a key element of football and will never be eliminated, that leaves only one other factor; helmet design and construction. Beyond that, it’s an assumption of risk to play the sport.
