Considering the fact that personal injury lawyers take almost 50% of any award/verdict, it seems the time has come for them to participate in the costs. They have “no skin in the game” when they take a big case, particularly one that’a “slam dunk”. They profit, exhorbitantly, from those who pay for the insurance that pays them. Let’s have a percentage of their fees go into a fund to subsidize the cost of insurance……their source of profit. They take from society and give nothing back. Consider it a “pay to play” system. Oops….I can hear their scrams now.
