People are un-disciplined and when it comes to being responsible for their actions…….they just don’t get it. The problem is, once the genie is out of the bottle, it’s tough to get it back inside.
News Flash! Distracted driving is already against the law. How would THIS law be enforced in a way to avoid accidents? It’s not like being DUI. Do we need to also specify eating, putting on makeup, changing the radio/CD player, swatting mosquitos, sexual activity,…? Is this the best effort our tax money can buy??
By the way; in the first example, how does texting by the pick up truck driver account for the school bus hitting him and the last vehicle r/e the school bus?

Like Ron Paul said, the Constitution does not give the federal govt the authority to regulate state driving laws. Let the states decide this question.
