It’s about time there is more publicity about insurance fraud. I have written “Zalma’s Insurance Fraud Letter” for more than 15 years. It is available free at – http://www.zalma.com/ZIFL-CURRENT.htm. I also wrote the e-book “Zalma on Insurance Fraud” at http://www.zalma.com/zalmabooks.htm.

Since entering the world of insurance claims in 1970, fraud has been a thorn in the side of insurance carriers I suspect it will be until the end of days. Investigate more effectively and leveragage technology all you want. Until and unless the law changes and people perceive a significant consequence, there’s no stopping fraud. It used to called “the victim-less crime”. Nonsense. We all pay for this one way or another. It should not be tolerated. But few people aside from SIU’s and law enforcement care much about it. People need to get fed up and exert pressure on the courts to punish the perps including restitution as a part of their punishement. I have little hope this will ever happen.
