now who is playing the scheme? afterall, they had already withdrew more prior to the fallout and yet, they want more money from their insurance? i am glad the judge told them no, just like the insurance stated… they did not lose anything, they would have capitalized twice… here’s another lawsuit that should have never happened because they had gotten their money already… matter of fact, they should be paying their lawyer his approx 30% of the amount they were looking for plus all court costs including the defendents fees. wonder why courts are bogged w/bogus suits…

“AIG contended it should pay nothing because the Horowitzes withdrew $226,000 more from Madoff’s firm than they put in.”

    Awww, snap!

I’m glad AIG and the judge denied them. Wudchuck said it right – the Horowitzes are now trying to scheme the system. They are just as bad as Madoff, just not to as large of an extent.

Well said! Next thing you know they will be telling everyone how their insurance carrier ripped them off and wasn’t fair. When will people realize that their insurance policy is not a source of profit? Good to see that our judicial system worked as it should.

I like the names of the parties involved here: Madoff, Horowitz, Crotty, Picard. It helps me sustain the fantasy that this whole thing is a work of fiction.
