Thanks for the heads up! Those of us that live inland and aren’t usually int he path of hurricanes still have to think about the crazy weather that comes from the hurricane aftermath and outer bands. Homes are still damaged and insurance is still affected. Thanks for the reminder!
at what point will the ObamaHeads stop blaming and dwelling on an administration that hasn’t been in power for over 2 years and actually start focusing on the PRESENT. This is the time for CHANGE, right?
Well, maybe we’ll get over it when the memories fade about:
False war based on phony charges of WMD
Botched war in Afganistan
Absolute failure to respond to Katrina
Tax cuts that turned a massive budget surplus into a deficit
Gutted regulatory oversight of the financial markets that led to the 2008 meltdown
Largest assault on constitutional rights in living memory
The TARP program that funneled billions of dollars without oversight
Gutted EPA laws and protection enacted over the prior 20 years.
Changes in energy policy (negotiated in secret by D. Cheney) to lessen government oversight in drilling operations.
Outing of a CIA agent (Valery Plame) as political payback, which ruined the life of one person, put spouses of all US diplomats in danger, and exposed a clasified CIA operation (Others who said they worked for the fictitious company the VP said she worked for).
Allowed Medicare Part D to pass without any sort of funding which further cut away the surplus GB inherited.
was the deficit under Bush higher or lower than under Obama? Just a question…
My point: Bush made mistakes. The Iraq War (which was supported by most) was a mistake. Afghanistan is a mess regardless of who is in office. Katrina proved the federal government can’t do anything. What caused the recession is up for debate (fannie and freddie, anyone?)
However, Obama only points the finger. I could list Obama’s shortcomings, but there’s obviously no point.
Yup, and all of them poor Dems were sitting on the sidelines waiting to be called into the game. Sure has been great since 06 when they got the Congress and 08 for the WH. I know, it was much worse then we thought… that evil genius/moron Bush.
I wonder if Barney or Chris had anything to do with the housing failure.
Obama does not point the finger. He is constantly forced to deal with misinformation (death panels, failure to recognize tax cuts Obama signed into law for low income families which were expanded when Obama signed the economic recovery package last year). and criticism from the right who do nothing but say no to everything. Where were the tea baggers when the surplus turned into a deficit??
I’m actually not a “tea bagger”, D…I’m a moderate. I’m ok with gay marriage, pro choice, but against gun control, pro Free Market, etc…I vote based on the issues, not the party.

Hmmm, did I leave anything out?
Yes 3 more things:
Gutted EPA laws and protection enacted over the prior 20 years.
Changes in energy policy (negotiated in secret by D. Cheney) to lessen government oversight in drilling operations.
Outing of a CIA agent (Valery Plame) as political payback, which ruined the life of one person, put spouses of all US diplomats in danger, and exposed a clasified CIA operation (Others who said they worked for the fictitious company the VP said she worked for).

Thanks, D, forgot about all of those…
