So question No. 1 is exactly when is Selective going to be sold? I’ve heard so many rumors over the past 2 years, and keep hearing that the sale is imminent. To Traveler’s? To QBE? or To Hanover?

Also No. 2, just what does it mean to be NEGATIVE? West Bend has been negative for more than 2 years? And all we continue to hear is that West Bend has results that are horrible, and reserves that are not fully realized. How long does a negative implication hang around before AM Best actually does something about the rating? There are many others too.

it won’t be hanover. theyre growing like wildfire and don’t need an acquisition. plus thy are already heavy in the east. It could be QBE because they’ll buy anything that makes sense. And don’t count out Lib Mutual. They could buy them and blow them to pieces, and split among all of their regional carriers.
