    YN: cont’, hand.
S: cont’, even the hero’s of past and present.

police officers, firefighters and other laborers didn’t contain enough money.

I happen to agree with the judge.

I also would point to the E.P.A. spokeswoman’s comments following 9-11.

Seems’ a parallel to why some people stayed behind in the North & South Tower’s on September 11th, 2001, Disastrous.

police officers, firefighters and other laborers didn’t contain enough money.

I’m expressing my own self personal opinion, because I have questioned in my own mind, where are you know and before the horrors’ of 9-11-2001.

All to readily to come to the aid of certain insurance companies against ordinary public families or individuals. You’ve been in focus of foreign and domestic importance groups; outside and inside their professions, and ignored the possibility their lying to you! end product of ignorant police, labor and fire comrades putting deliberate importance over the public, plus failing to access your at risk in the future.

Would you say the pharmaceutical companies or oil executives would be have been first responders?

Exactly both points, No & Yes.

I have to agree with “Root of the Problem” on this one. 15 of the 19 Hijackers came from Saudi Arabia. Thre is compelling evidence that at least some of the terrorist cell funding came from Saudi businessmen, if not from the Saudi Royal Family itself. Oddly, it was our own Justice Department that slammed the door of the courthouse on all victim lawsutis against the Saudi’s who financed the 9/11 attacks. Strange?

It’s good the know the attorneys are only looking out for the victims of this disaster. Victims get a few thousand up to a million. Attorneys who were not injured get $200 million.

Where do I donate to these selfless fighters for justice?

I was wondering about our selfless legal heros here too. Only $200,000,000 for having been exposed to all that… well… danger of some kind.

If the judge was so worried about the settlement being eaten up by attorney fees why not reduce the attorney fees?

    Think that will ever happen?

    Me either.

why are we so concerned that these individuals (so-called first responders) are eligible for this? afterall, how many other folks who were not first responders are allowed and should be allowed to lay claim?

this is a ridiculous lawsuit. first responders most of them have the training and know the expectation that things can happen in a violent and tragic way.

i am sorry that we think these folks are the only ones that suffer. it’s amazing, we don’t think about everyone. and then, the lawyers only think about their big pockets! how much did it actually costs them to process this case? if a class-action suit, how much are they getting versus the costs? this is why the judge is throwing this out.

but this case should not have happened!

#1: Do you have ANY idea as to how many germs these attorneys will come into contact with in handling $200,000,000? Money is polluted, people. Show some freakin’ compassion! I don’t see any of YOU stepping up to take on the $200 mil!
#2: Judges were lawyers. Lawyers love class-actions. Even if they settle low with peole getting pennies, they’ll collect on the total. Courts love class actions because they are one case, vs. thousands, so the courts isn’t clogged with the actions. The expense goes back to the people…spread out in insurance costs and/or taxes so they all think it’s a victimless crime. We need to get rid of this lotto mentality and tighten up the parameters of class-actions.

I still say the $$ should come from the country of origin that these people are from. Heck, I’d even chip in a buck to send all the attorneys there!!!

    ok, here’s another problem:

if we react when the 9/11 occurs and want to sue just because of the health reasons after the fact, then should not the military when it goes to natural disasters? this event, will leave an open book on lawsuits!

If this lawsuit is against the City why isn’t it a work comp situation that relieves the City of any liability?
