No need to thank me, but my sincerest best wishes to you, your family and your son during this Holiday season. I can well relate to being away from home and the ones you loved, especially during this time of year. Please let him know that this old sailor indeed appreciates the sacrifice he’s making to serve our country.

One of the few benefits I have for protecting Mom, Apple Pie and Country from the communists during the seventies!

Glad I served, and damn glad they’re my company!

As the mom of a son currently in the Air Force, allow me to thank YOU for your service.

FL agent: and thanks from me as well, and to all those who have served or are currently serving.

Now a question: I tried some time ago to get into USAA but could not. The criteria seem fuzzy to me and I think I should be eligible but it would not let me past the first few questions.

My dad served in the Army(Korea era) and my brother also in the 80’s. As the offspring of an honorably discharged it seems that I should be able to get in.

Anyone know the full rules? Any ideas if they make exceptions?

    Kevin,

I no longer work at USAA, but understand that they’ve relaxed certain membership requirements. Give them a call. You do want to know that dependents don’t get the same rates as regular members, but you still get the advantage of a terrific company.

    Kevin –

Don’t expect to save much money, though. Especially if you’re in TX. Talk about high! You pay for that A++ haha.

And, their service isn’t any better than what I provide in my agency.
