Instead, they should legistlate against stupidity, carelessness, parental negligence in entrusting an inherently dangerous vehicle to a minor, and lack of personal responsibility.

    Dear Won’t Work,

You are absolutely correct. Unfortunately its not a crime to be stupid or careless. I can say this because I am a 47 year old women that rolled my Rhino 7 times down a dune because I was in an area I should not have been. Luckily we started the roll from a stopped position and weren’t seriously hurt but I take full responsibility for the roll – it was not a fault with the Rhino. On the other hand, I watched my niece and four friends (yes, 5 teenagers in a Rhino for two) without seatbelts roll it on its side. Not a single parent was watching as they went around camp faster and faster each time, the last time on 2 wheels until it tipped. Of course, every parent immediately said “that’s because the Rhino is dangerous”. My reply to them was, “no, it happened because none of you were watching your kids (the oldest was 15)”.

Thanks for your candor and acceptance of personal responsibility. It’s rare and refreshing in this day and age.
