“It’s really ironic that the company that was a principal source of the problem” is now getting favorable treatment from the government. Yeah, right. That sure was unexpected!!!

From A Dictionary by Any Other Name: Civil Penalty (noun) A Payoff

And everyone else has to pay an independent lab to do their testing — Can you say “unfair advantage”? The cost of testing isn’t for the entire product — it is for each component on the product — and every batch job. Small domestic cottage industries that have survived on entrepreneurship over the years are crushed by the deep pockets of the producers of shoddy products made overseas and imported into this country for pennies on the dollar – and sold for a monumental profit to line the pockets of the greedy.

This is like having the fox watch the hen house! You have got to be kidding me…The biggest violator watching their own production line — Hummmm why weren’t they doing the same thing before the recalls? Because they didn’t get caught. Everyone has known that lead has existed in products for children for years – And now that they’ve been outed a slap on the wrist and a “payoff” to keep the government out of their business. Just great.

There ought to be a law…. Oh Yeah… I forgot — there is one… but obviously it doesn’t apply to everyone

Sorry about the garbage in the post. I have a bad habit of drafting my posts in MSWORD as IJ doesn’t provide an online spell check feature. Something I’m sure all readers know the IJ staff needs for their own articles!

I find nothing more annoying than reading an article with spelling errors. I try to spare the IJ readers the same.

Note to self: Don’t use a hyphen in your Word document or you’ll get garbage! OOps!
