You are correct about Oklahoma being one of the worst states to work in if you have a work related accident. The workers compensation laws in Oklahoma are designed to benefit the company and not the average working person who gets hurt. I got hurt on the job and the company’s insurance company cut my disability checks. I was sent to a doctor who didn’t do the first surgery correctly. I had to obtain a lawyer and file a lawsuit. Even after having an attorney the company was able to cut my disability checks. I had to move out of state in order to receive help from my family! I now am receiving my disability checks after being blackmailed out of money so I could have my second surgery. I am living out of state until my injury is taken care of by my second doctor. I can say that if you worked or are working in Oklahoma and if you are injured on the job you will have to get an attorney and have help from your family. If you don’t have this the insurance company will try and put you out in the street. That’s what they tried to do to me. But because of their stupidity, they will pay double for everything until my injury no longer affects me as I will shortly be back to normal.
