Regardless of the spin she tries to put on her now infamous comment about an hispanic woman arriving at a “better” decision than a white male, she’s shown her true feelings and bias. She is a racist and all white males should be offended. She admits being a “product of affirmative action”. In other words, somebody created an artificial situation so she could compete, otherwise she may not have been able to progress up the ethnic food chain. Her decision against the Boston firefighters that was reversed by the Supreme Court is another example of her inability to be objective in favor of whites. Her primary interest was in fostering a new opportunity for minorities to pass the promotion exam by ruling the test was biased. Well maybe the minorities who took it simply weren’t smart enough to pass it. They had access to the same training and study resources as everyone else and still FAILED. Affirmative Action was and is an ill-conceived plan to create situations and circumstances in which the normally un-qualified and un-competitive are given special treatment in order to advance themselves. There should be no double standards for ethnic groups. You either learn and apply your knowledge or you don’t. I don’t want an un-qualified minority fire chief directing the response to my building.
This woman has a chip on her shoulder from being a Puerto Rican divorcee living in the Bronx. Now the entire country of Puerto Rico is applauding her nomination and thinking that by some stroke of magic, all Puerto Ricans will benefit. Some minority groups will never be able to compete and lowering standards is both unfair and insulting.
Well said Dread… I have been searching for and revieweing other examples of this woman’s judicial rulings and blunders – I find her an abrasive, cocky, inarticulate, flim-flamer that will say anything to cover her past inadeuqacies and obviously inept display of character. What a joke – The idea of granting this woman a “lifetime” appointment to the highest court in the land just shows how desperate this country has become to be “politically correct” God help us all…
