I am familiar with several of her rulings. What you are missing is that her many other rulings expand the concept of duty in a tort context. This effectively narrows the rights of defendants, typically, insureds. So, her few decisions in favor of insurance companies pale in comparison to the damage she does in her rulings wherein she expands the concept of duty owed to an injured party by an alleged tortfeasor.

But, I know that you know this, Randy.

She’s bad for America and bad for the insurance industry.

Well, well, well, a judge willing to look at the facts and not just rule against the insurer as a matter of course because they can take money out of consumers pockets at will. How refreshing! She has my vote!!

Ditto from me. Interesting that we haven’t heard from the right wing conservations on this since their GOP senators have been so critical of her. Thank you for maintaining your silence. She’s the right person for this position.

A judge examining the facts of a case sounds good to me too. I think it’s much better than relying on racial motivation.

Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich and Sean Hannity are NOT GOP Senators.

When it comes to insurance matters, that is one quality one would hope to see in a Judge. The “word on the street” about Judge Soto is her cautious and painstaking work prior to making her opinion’s known. She is vastly more experienced than most of the current S.C. Justices on the SC were when they joined the court. For those who peg her as a liberal, you are probably in for some suprises in the coming years. Her work ethic speaks for itself. You go girl!
