I’m content now that the trial lawyers will be able to make a decent living. More lawsuits will certainly help our economy grow and make more products available, right?

No, now it means that big companies with big money can’t push the real people around when it comes to us asking them to be accountable for tainted products that injure us and our children because they know “someone” who doesn’t mind that they don’t inspect their products as thoroughly as they used to. It means if they are bad and we sue, we can win now.

Really? Does anyone need more forms of recourse for informed decisions they amke that turn out adverse?

Looks like another avenue for people to blame businesses for trying to provide products and services to the public.

I loved the way Dick Cheney tore Obama Osamba a new one yesterday. Funny that Bush /Cheney said either release all of the classified documents pretaining to the torture or none of the documents. The Obama Osamba people just released the parts that made the prior administration look like big meanies. Let’s see three of the bastards is all that were ever water boarded and a major U.S. city (L.A. CA.) was spared. Well excuse me!

People have always been able to sue. It’s the super judgements that have been limited. The $120,000,000 for using the wrong part in a car with no actual physical injury type lawsuits. The type that allow trial lawyers to become the new evil rich? Those suits that prevent new products that have the potential to make life better or save lives, but aren’t released due to fear? The kind that are killing the ability of good doctors to do their work because they aren’t actually God and make a mistake on occasion? Do you work for a trial lawyer or are you just for big lawsuits?

“Trial lawyers who file class-action lawsuits praised obama’s action”. Only the lawyers win in class-action lawsuits. I agree with “nobody important”.

It means that trail lawyers can once again venue shop their class action lawsuits.

“When national class action lawsuits are concentrated in a handful of state courts, local judges are allowed to set national policies. Those policies can conflict with the laws of other states and subject companies to being held liable for conduct that is not only permissible, but, in some instances, required by state law or regulation.”
Sherman Joyce – American Tort Reform Association President.

Who sees any money from class action suites anyway? The trail lawyers collect big time and the injured parties individually get next to nothing. These are the same trail lawyers that bought Mr. Obama the Presidency, so of course they like this.

You tell me which administration was looking out for you (the little guy)?

    * I think I hear John Edwards cheering.
