People in this country have a short memory. This same scenario played out in the early 1980’s when insurance companies invested in real estate and banks started to fail because the officers loaned money to their contractor buddies in large sums. Many people got wealthy off the backs of the average citizen. This problem is the same thing.History repeats itself.
I’ll have to remember to become a contractor in 10 years borrow all kinds of money to purchase property and just wait until everything collapses and the government can come and bail the wealthy out again.
Like I said let them sink in the ocean.I could give two squats about the banks or the contractors or their drunken employees.
    Let the depression begin!

I still have a hard time believing that they are going to retain much of that business after all this publicity.

Competition is too tough in this soft market, when a client or existing client thinks of AIG, they associate that with “bankruptcy, failure, penny stock”; not the first thing you want to come to mind for a company that is agreeing to provide coverage and defend you.

Haven’t you heard yet? Our government is bailing everyone out!
    What a country!
Now every hard working bill paying responsible tax payer in this country will be paying for all the crooks and criminals that caused this whole mess!

Yep and your right. Was our country not built upon that if you screw up then you pay for your own screw up. Not everyone else pay for your screw up. Who will we bail out next??? I am fed up with all of this bailing out. Why can’t they just let happen what happens. Greed is what got us here. You can just keep bailing out all of these companies with our tax dollars while we are spending all of this money also on the so called “war” in Iraq. I am sick and tired of hearing about it. The company was in a mess way before all of this happened anyway. Part of there large monopoly was under investigation for Fraudlent activity a few years ago. Does no one read the news. Just because all of the “BIG MONEY” guys were about to lose alot the goverment stepped in. What about the little people.
