Best downgrades AIG to A EXCELLENT !!! No wonder the financials in this country are sick. The watchdogs don’t even know what tree to piss on. AIG should go on the watch list right away. They’re one strike away from being called out looking.

AM Best couldn’t predict yesterday’s weather let alone an insurance company’s financial strength…How long have we known about the subprime crisis? How difficult is it to determine which carriers are over-committed to real estate-based investments? Hey…AM Best…Right now AIG shouldn’t be an “A” either..but what do we know?

Not even A-, four days after heated discussions about the possibility of the largest bankruptcy in history.

This is an insult to the industry.
