Strange Claims Indeed 9

Chuck Wojciechowski, liability supervisor, Gallagher Bassett Services Inc., submitted a story of a plaintiff attending a bachelorette party at the insured’s place of business, a non-profit business entity in Eastern Massachusetts. For the ladies’ entertainment, a third party hired a stripper to perform. Apparently lost in the moment, the plaintiff started to dance with him and slipped on remnant whipped cream covering the floor from prior use as a prop. She sustained a fractured wrist and claimed general negligence in allowing the whipped cream in the show, causing the flooring to become dangerously slippery. She did, however, voluntarily get up to dance. A summary judgment motion was granted in this case with no appeal filed.
