I would like to see a report on the negative affect on other business sectors resulting from reduced driving. After the oil prices started falling I heard a politician state “I hope the driving public does not go back to there old driving habits”.

So now with fatalities decreasing wouldn’t it be ok to increase the speed limit?

I hope the American public does not alter their new habits if gas falls either. $4.00 is only a wake up call, it is double that in other parts of the world. I don’t care if greedy gas companies go out of business, they deserve it. Stay the course, conserve and look for alternative solutions.

Brilliant Bob. Obviously you do not work in a business sector that services the driving public. Why don’t we all just move into tents or caves and then we wouldn’t need all of the evil energy.

Actually in a lot of countries the largest oil companies are state owned.

Ill take it. This crap economy monopoly where we get ripped off just isn’t working for me.

The natural resources are supposed to be leased from the people, but our government just gives away our resources to private companies and then gives them subsidies to go along with it.
