It shouldnt surprise one that there are fewer workers killed on the job when there are fewer workers ON the job. Bureau of Labor Statistics should have the unemployment percentages handy.

Unemployment is still lower than it was in the 1990’s which was still lower than it was in the early 1980’s (when it peaked near 10%).

So what’s your point about how many people are out of work? Simple percentages show we’re certainly not in a good place but we’ve been worse.

Blame it on un-skilled labor jobs but those jobs tend to be more dangerous and SHOULD lead to higher fatality and injury rates.

Thank you for not trying to spin your post into some kind of rant on a particular political party but seriously, I feel for those out of work and those families struggling in these difficult times but we’ve been through worse unemployment, we’ve seen worse inflation (the 70’s), gas is expensive but it’s not rationed (the 40’s and 70’s)…

If you belive everything you hear on CNN the world is going to split apart tomorrow.
