    Uh –

If you fill a punchbowl with punch and add a huge ice sculpture that stands way above the bowl. The ice level will be higher than the bowl, and by virtue of its solid mass, still contained in the bowl. When the ice is no longer solid and becomes liquid, the bowl will no longer contain all of the liquid.

I don’t have an opinion on where that water will go, or if it will have an impact, but please don’t kid yourself that the ice floating above the water or on land when melted will be contained in the same space. This type of experiment we do with kindergarteners and first graders. It is saddening to see a professional forum so ignorant!

!!! you got me ! i knew i shoulda called you a kindergartner first!

No question – frozen water displaces more area than than liquid water.

And when you say ignorant, you’re referring to the people who name-call, am i right? kindergartner, Hussein, Castro, Restumblicans…you did or didn’t say those things?

Actually, I wasn’t calling you kindergarteners, I was just saying that we show kindergarteners these experiments. I was being literal, not inflamitory. (unlike the use of some of the names I was reading. If you try to rationalize any of those as other than inflamitory, I really hope you don’t believe your own BS)

I guess I was calling some of the prior statements ignorant (not really the people though). I don’t have a better way to describe some of the positions I was reading.

i thought you started the fire w/ vote Hussein ’08 or whatever it was, but “unenthused” actually lit up the angry political back-n-forth.

wait did somebody just call me a liberal?? I was just trying to point out why ice floats!

and uh i think the 2ndamendment momma also needs to re-evaluate her catchphrase about the ignorant. LOL maybe say it out loud a couple times.

Look the dude’s name is actually “Barry Hussein Obama” He has got some real issues with his Muslim middle name so please don’t use it. He also has got some issues with his real first name which is Barry. Therefore he wants you to call him Barrack. This is a great name because it eludes to his Muslim supporters but the rest of you infidels don’t understand it. Please do not call him Barry or Hussein anymore. Barrack is alright and so is Obamma.

Gene Simmon’s real name is Chaim Witz, but nobody calls him that. They call him Gene Simmons. If Obama wants to be called Barack Obama (not Barry, not B. Hussein, not anything else), isn’t that his right?

    Wankers.

    OK Smart,

Would you refuse to vote for someone that was a Christian?

My guess would be “yes,” because they see the world differently than you.

Do you believe in freedom of choice for all or just mothers with unwanted babies?

Do you believe anyone has the right to own property and use it as they see fit (provided it’s not a hazard, nor causes harm)?

Do you believe that all people have the right to keep what they work for and to work for a better life?

Do you think that giving something of value without requiring something of value (work and effort) produces a lazy and dependent populace?

What is it called when someone takes my stuff for their own purposes? Worse, what’s it called when the government approves of it?

What was the government designed and created to do? How far from that has it departed?

Do I have the right to protect myself and my family?

Does freedom of speech apply to everyone, or just those that don’t offend a particular group?

Should all be given freedom to express their religious beliefs anywhere? Please find the “separation of church and state” in the Constitution or Bill of Rights for me.

I think you have the right to say what you believe, do you believe that of me?
