“The accuracy of satellite derived ice concentration is usually 5% or better, although errors of 10 to 20% can occur during the melt season.”

What IU wanna know is, what ended the last Ice Age? The arctic ice cap was much larger then. I think it came down to where I’m now sitting.

Chilly there is certainly global warming going on now – Its not man made – Its part of a natural occurring cycle – Dont you agree?

Certainly, that’s why I keep asking what ended the last Ice Age? It’s not news if the ice cap is shrinking: it used to be in Ohio! The Thames used to freeze, grapes, wheat and livestock used to be raised by Viking settlements on Greenland, and so on.

The only constant with worldwide climate is change.

Barrack Obama’s middle name is Hussein… Look it up, it’s true.

Wow! Really? Wait, didn’t we depose an evil dictator that had Hussein as his LAST NAME??? That must mean Barack is evil too!! What an original thought! I wonder if Ann Coulter ever thought of something as origiinal as that? Honestly, there are more parrots on this board than in the Amazon rainforest.

By the way, “Hussein” is one of the more common names in the Middle East. Some people, even those that are NOT terrorists, even have it as their name (ie King Hussein of Jordan, supposedly one of our allies).

If you honestly feel the need to resort to mocking someone’s name to attack them, you need to grow up and get a life. This isn’t kindergarten, it’s an insurance forum. Go after the man for his issues, not his name. Need I remind you that the word “Bush” can have a different meaning than in the horticultural sense?

Wow, pretty sensitive about that Hussein thing, eh? It must really bother you that he has a Muslim name. I couldn’t care less about his name, it’s his collectivist castroite politics that bothers me.

Right thats his middle name, who doesnt know that? – But when you talk about a presidential ticket dont you use the persons last name? Thats what I didnt understand. Plus Castro is really old and not even a US citizen. So wheres the connection there? Is Castro a supporter of Global Warming?

Your post is really very scatter brained.

Would you call Bill Clinton “Jefferson.” Or Bush “Herbert Walker”?

There is just no logic to it.

To judge a man in this way is nothing but fear and racism, and that can lead to hatred.

Its all very sad for you Republicans. The better you really feel about yourself the less likely you will feel threatened by another person just because they have a different sounding name.

Amazing that I’m automatically labeled as a liberal when in actuality I’m a registered republican (just recently renewed my drivers license and officially changed my party affiliation). Ever have an original thought on your own, Little Help?

My point was that if you want to attack the man, go after his warped policies. Name calling does nothing productive.

This has become a sounding board for politics instead of an insurance discussion forum. Libs, if you want to attack conservatives, do it on your moveon.org. Conservatives, if you want to bash libs, save it for Hannity, Coulter, Limbaugh, etc. Why don’t we focus on the issue at hand, which in this case is INSURANCE???

“Put some ice cubes in a glass. Fill the glass with water. Notice that when the ice melts the glass did not overflow.”

uh Chilly that’s what i just told you. Ice displaces more area than the water from which it’s composed. Hydrogen bonds expand when they freeze. So when the ice cubes melt, of course the water won’t overflow. It will be lower than when the ice was frozen.

It’s a bit incongruent to me that you so completely understand politics, climate change, arguing baselessly, etc SO WELL, but you don’t know how to process simple sentences properly. Slow down and consider that your opinion, which is comprised of YOUR subjective interpretations, can’t be construed as fact. Rather, it won’t be accepted as fact b/c you display it all so emotionally, so irrationally, so defensively! If you were a climatologist or a chemist or a politician, your peers would look to you for this guidance you spew. Now get back to processing certificates.
