Is Dubya going to dip into his pockets and compensate them personally? He should, since his environmental policies are responsible for this and so many other disasters.

    Rosie,
I am curious to know how “Dubya” caused the flooding that occurred in the Midwest? He’s incompetent, not God.

Do your research, Gore’s science is flawed, we are not in the doom & gloom environmental state that he claims we are in. If so, why does he continue to fly in his private jet & occupy an enormous mansion?

And as far as the poor farmer who didn’t have crop insurance, it’s because they didn’t pay for it. It’s not hard to get, as long as you pay your premium.

Rosie, I think most meteorologists would disagree with you. The primary cause of the high volume of rain we experienced was due to short term atmospheric flows, not long term changes in global climate. No single politician, U.S. or otherwise, can make significant global change alone. I would recommend if you are concerned, you should take steps to personally reduce your current utilization of energy.

However, to answer the question posed by your subject. Crop insurance has extensive availability. There is not an income requirement to secure coverage.

what do you know about a poor farmer? have you been doing a background investigation on their income? here again, comes into the play of thinking prior to an actual dilemna. we pay for insurance to cover an accident or mother nature maneuver. we all should understand that things can happen and we need to be prepared to either pay out of pocket or aquire insurance to cover the loss. i bet you will find out that most farmers probably have that insurance and it’s probably a cheap pill to purchase versus the cost of lost crop and seed. imagine also any livestock?

rosie, if you think that every politician is the cause of anything. everything? um… i could put that to many uses, but i’ll let you think about that one (as well as others). remember, we all make choices and even the ones you make are they supposedly as a result of a politician? um..

i make my choices and if i make a mistake, i have to learn from my error. so, wonder if you do?!
