The last ice age was a trivial temperature flutuation. Its end was one of many that warmed the earth from slightly too cold. That cycle is well established. The last time the earth was much too warm presents a much larger problem, since the earth is located on the inner portion of the habitable range of a solar orbit. A much better question is “What will stop the first ‘heat age’ since greenhouse gasses were mostly methane??” Please note that the sun produced only about 85% of its current heat radiation back then. The oceans that were changed to hydrogen and oxygen as oxygen cleared that atmosphere and hydrogen escaped are much smaller now. There is nothing that says the cycle will end.
The forces that begat and ended the last Ice Age can hardly be described as “trivial termperature fluctuations.” A less dramatic fluctuation was the Mini Ice Age that killed the population of Greenland. Where I now sit was under ten storeys of ice. What brought that ice here and what chased it away were dramatic, not tricial, shifts in temperature.
These shifts are predictable since they have been observed in ice core samples going back thousands of years. According to this predictable pattern, we are on the verge of cooling. This is supported by the fact that the earth’s temperature has leveled off the past ten years: there has been no warming since 1998. Did you not watch the YouTube video I linked to?
The political Left has one last chance to defeat the US: anthropocentric global warming. If Warner/Leiberman becomes law, the Left will have won: based on lies and manipulated data, not science. For isntance, polar bears are now listed as endangered though there are ten times as many of them as in 1920. This was done so that eco-whackoes could sue anyone omitting CO2 in order to stop the polar ice cap from melting. It’s beyond crazy.
