You can’t retroactively apply today’s knowledge and standards to those that existed 25 years ago when this happened. Enough is enough. How pathetic is our legal system when some ambulance chaser has to rely on a documentary film for insight into theories of liability.
Asbestos and lead were both deemed “acceptable” when they were first introduced into the mainstream – what about the knowledge and standards then and now? When the product was deemed hazardous and ordered removed from the market – should those exposed well after the prohibition be able to make claim today? People who smoked for the past 40 years claiming they got cancer even though there have been warnings on smokes for years? Alcholo and fetal development, using a hair dryer in the bath tub… How pathetic is the leagal system when it is driven by greed?
Dread hit the boxer on the chin (sorry). This unimaginative lawyer is using a “documentary” (with faded memories) as a basis for a suit. Arghh. And our legal system is pretty pathetic because it is driven by greed.
