amazing that in the midst of berkshire hathaways declining market investments publicized that Geico would be rated so highly for “financial stability”. This seems to be directly contradictory to what is actually happening within the financial stability of GEICO. Aside from their own employees suing their company for not being paid overtime and their very poor rating for how well they handle claims it seems like the media would choose to ignore the facts and report the fiction. Perhaps there are some incentives the Government Employees Group (AKA GEICO) is paying someone to report this contradictory information. GEICO is a fake and pretends to be an insurance company when it is really just a telemarketing call center full of people with very little if any insurance experience who they give licenses to. Their commercials consistently smack of Low IQ in their ridiculous and pretentious effort to try to be funny. None of their advertisements ever have anything to do with insurance but yet involve cavemen, lizards, bad actors with no punch lines that deliver a bad joke on the public in terms of what matters most. Professional and knowledgeable service and product representation . But what else should we expect from a company who pretends to be an insurance company. They also pretend to know how to advertise and say everything is “financially stable” when it in fact is not. There will certainly begin to be a decline within this company a we should all hope for it’s downfall for the great diservice it does to the industry and people it misrepresnts so grossly. GEICO ” I do have some good news for you though, I just saved a really bad experience for allot of people by encouraging them not to switch to GEICO”.

Couldn’t disagree with you more. I’ve had Geico for 8 years now and had really bad car accident (not my fault) – Geico paid all the medical bills as expected and also offered an adequate settlement.

Maybe you have had a bad GEICO experience? As I however, I am glad to say that I indeed have some good news – I just saved a bunch of $ by being insured by GEICO for 8 years.

GEICO is a vending machine where the unsavvy user is left to make their own mistakes. GEICO consistently “advises’ its so-called clients who are really self-servers to buy low limits of coverage to limit their exposure. When a claim happens, the self-server must deliver the damaged vehicle to a drive-through center where a clipboard toting employee haggles the customer and gives a final damage check, almost never enough for the “client” to get fully made whole. GEICO captures kids with their cheesey commercials while they are young and ignorant. Cut to ten years later and they are still driving around with minimal limits and paying 15-30% more than the rest of the competitive market because they have been duped into believing the pitch and the hype. We kill the lizard practically every time we have a chance. And, as we all know, self-servers can’t sue themselves for having inappropriate coverage. When you grow up, it is time to trade in your tricycle for a two-wheeler. Too many adults, if they could actually see how ridiculous they would look, are still riding their tricycle and Warren Buffet is laughing all the way to the bank.

WOW, I’m really offended by what you said. I think you need to get a job at GEICO and see how things really work. I’ve worked at GEICO since November of 1999. I have licenses in Iowa (the state I reside), CO, KS, ND, NE, NM, OK and SD. I’m working on getting my WY. I only got 5 1/2 days to study to get my IA license and every three years I have to take CE classes to keep it going, just like every other agent. When you call into GEICO you are talking to a LICENSE agent. Not the agent’s secretary which happens a lot when you call the local agents (at least here in Iowa).

Yes, GEICO lost a class action lawsuit b/c they required that we were log onto our computers and ready to take calls right when we are suppose to punch into the phones, but now they don’t do that practice.

Even though BH is having some declines in their investments, GEICO is not one of them. Sorry Charlie.

BTW, I’m not a GEICO cheerleader, I don’t always like working here, but I also do not like the notion that I’m not an insurance agent. I am.

Ok, this is also not completely true, if the ph is a preferred policy holder we do adv of high liability, we use to for our indemnity and causality policy holders until the company decided that higher risk people said no more offer then yes b/c it is more expensive, though I used to get more indemnity and causality people to carry higher liability.

It is really amazing when I add a 07 ford explorer onto someone’s policy and advise they should have the higher liability to protect themselves and they say no. Maybe it is the states that I handle, but a lot of people only what state minimums w/ 1m ded for H&E. when most people it would only be $25 more to increase their liability…

Amanda, Thanks for proving my point with your comments. Your writings reflect on what I’m saying exactly. You have mispelled a number of words and talk in text message language. You have paid little attention to what I said in regard to a licensed representative. I don’t believe that I said that Geico’s representatives were unlicensed. Of course your going to be biased because you have worked there. If you weren’t then that would be rather odd. I can see that you really don’t understand either that requirements these days are that agents assistants who speak to clients in the capacity of discussing coverages and giving quotes are licensed also so your qualifications are no better than what is the norm elsewhere but perhaps Geico has lead you to believe that having a license has somehow made you special but I hate to break the news to you , that’s standard. In fact your company is one dimensional and handles auto policies. Agents assistants with multi line companies must also know property, commercial, life , health and about 100 other varieties of policies and guidelines to follow. I think you may want to reexamine your perspective and understand that the real insurance industry deals with real people in person and don’t just offer a 1-800 number and incorrect promises of industry leading customer satisfaction. In the last survey I saw ran by auto repair body shops in our area Geico rated 16th in how well they handeled customers claims. You can’t function like a real company because you lack the basic element of real people dealing with people face to face. I’m not stating opinions here but facts and numbers to back it up so I think that your company loyalty is admirable but your statements are incorrect as well as using bad grammar and spelling. If you were my assistant you would need some training in the basics of insurance and communication skills. Keep making my point for me along with the cavemen and lizards who your company is so proud of in representing who they really are going after and that is the uneducated and Low IQ market out there. Thanks again!!

Shawn, FYI, I’m dyslexic, so when I posted my message I and ran a spell check. Second, I didn’t use text message lingo, matter of fact I didn’t even see any short hand. So, I guess this prove just how big of an a** h*** you are.

Thanks Amanda. You have again shown the qualities of a typical Geico Employee, with your unprofessional behavior and expletives needed to be able to express yourself. Keep up the good work. Your a perfect representative of what I have been telling people about Geico.
