I am very happy to see that the louses that think by importing products mfg in China or another country are now taking a pounding. How much did these companies wind up saving? I suspect, nothing. Actually the cost probably rose.

So much for overseas jobs and at the expense of our own American workers. I would hope there will be more suits brought, more expenses incurred and just maybe the cheap-skates will realize that we Americans do a much better job and at less expense to the manufacturers.
OH, are you stock holders listening?

I think all that stuff falls on deaf ears unless it directly impacts the major stockholders. If it’s not to their liking, they just move on & nothing seems to change much. Granted there is much more to it, but it would be nice to see some of this manufacturing stuff return to the US.

The sad truth is that we are lossing manufacturing jobs in the US as companies look for cheaper labor costs elsewhere.

I think most of us have heard commercials about Wal Mart and 70% of everything on their shelves being imported. Now, ask yourself a simple question… who shops at Wal Mart?

I would venture to say that if you did a study on this, a high percentage of the people shopping there would be union workers and others who are “just that close” to losing their jobs due to outside competition.

Everyone of us have the option of checking to see where a product is made and decide what to buy based on that… but most of us don’t. It is look for the cheapest thing available… (do I need to spell this out any further?)

It is easy to blame the corporations, but it is the American consumer who makes the ultimate choice!
