    Imagine the chaos a downgrade could cause. Could this signal an early end to this cycle?

    It might be istructive to determine how many dollars AIG has had to pay in law
    suits over the last 5 years. Also, how much litigation they have become involved
    in since Greenberg left. I’m not saying that Greenberg was able to keep a lid on this stuff, BUT they sure have been in the
    news lately and most of it is really poor

    …at how the mighty has fallen. Scary to think if they pulled back or went away where the market would be. They are often referred to as a “necessary evil” in the market and while both words are accurate they may be more necessary than evil as much as it pains me to say so.

    I would like to know if anyone has info on AM Best ratings for travel insurance, including AIGs travel insurance if known. I would like any recommendations on highly rated travel insurance companies.
