Did the email referenced spell out the duplicity of this transaction? Just telling Buffett a deal is on the table does not make him complicit, but it begs the question of why the instigator of this deal, Mo Greenburg, isn’t charged with something.
He is the one who benefitted from the propped up financials with the fake reinsurance deal aka finite reinsurance.
Amazing, the pull he had to distance himself from this one.
I can’t say with any certainty whether Warren is totally clean on this thing, but he sure wasn’t up to his nose in it the way Hank was and nobody is dragging him through the slop.
What a country! as Yakov Smirnoff used to say.

I’m with you, Slim. Warren may be a democrat, but that doesn’t necessarily make him a crook. (or does it?)
Just ’cause they talked about a deal doesn’t mean he knew it was a crooked one.
Warren doesn’t have a record of doing dumb things; I kinda doubt he was involved.

Nevermind that to be involved in somehting like this, you generally will have some sort of motive. Usually it’s financial greed, fame, success to earn a promotion, etc.

I would say that Buffett would have nothing to gain from a shady transaction. He sure doesn’t seem to spend money. He gave most of his wealth away, so he likely could care less about making a few mil on a shady transaction. And, what does he have to prove? It’s not like he’ll get some sort of promotion for improving the financials of his company…

I stated 2 years ago that Warren knew the details
observing how Gen Re Execs made their corp deals, they told their clients that Bershire was active in senior decisions made by management
How come neither Warren Or Hank never were indicted…
the feds dont want any part of them in this case…to much power
