There will always be some unscrupulous segment of the population that will take advantage of everything it can. They lack the self-pride, discipline, and moral fibre to know what they’re doing isn’t right. The system may have created the incentive to milk the benefits, but it’s the individuals who make the decision to belly up to the trough instead of working.

Isn’t the Chilean system much the same as the one proposed by our current President. Wasn’t the plan determined to be unworkable? If obesity is ever approved as a disability Katie bar the door. By the way, when is Congress going to be covered under Social Security and not under their own plan? Oh well life goes on but not always progress.

I have no idea why the NCPA would compare our system to theirs…
Their are far too many variable factors which leads it to be an apples-oranges comparison.

I believe it would have been more effective to compare our system to Canada’s
Japans or a Western EU country as their country’s are similarly structed to the US in the various economic factors.

I can only assume that the NCPA has alternate agenda despite the article states about their funding.

The think tank guys aren’t as bright as they pretend to be. Did you know that not speaking English is considered a “disability” and people are eligible for the additional benefits even if they haven’t paid one dime into the system!!! Don’t think it was intended to work that way, but our illustrious politicos have no incentive to correct the problem since they aren’t subject to the system.
