Of course the Bush administration will tolerated the situation. They gutted the staffing levels to next to nothing and put a man in charge with no large scale emergency management experience. Now what was once one of the most effective departments has to dismantled and started over from scratch.

Who is rewriting history? Look back at the disaster after the disaster in 1992. Anyone remember Hurricane Andrew and the FEMA screwups then? Of course everything that has ever gone wrong in the history of the world is Bush’s fault with some people. He messes up enough on his own without having things tossed his way he didn’t do.

“suggests there could be a conflict of interest when the private insurer for a damaged property allocates wind and flood losses between itself and the federal program” –ya think?

Just another example of corporate welfare, as they whine and pule about how tough it is to write on the coast.

The comments regarding Clinton are a Fox News style BIG LIE. The Bush gang wrecked FEMA, CIA (note I don’t say “the CIA”), State and Defense, not to mention EPA, FDA and of course, Justice. All part of a pattern. Quit trying these feeble lies. It’s too obvious now. The Bush gang and their Republication/Christianist supporters have stolen everything that ain’t nailed down.

Way to go, L’il Bush. In retrospect, it will be seen as just another politico-religious movement with hundreds of thousands of dead on its hands.

the only true observation about FEMA is that is has proven beyond a shadow of a dout that no governmental entity should be selling insurance. We live in a fee market, capitalist society – and we should NEVER have to go to the government to buy insurance. That’s what has caused this entire problem – beaurocrats running something instead of intelligent, profit oriented businessmen.

Just look at the problems from 1992. FEMA messed up tremendously back then. Just stop your Bush hating long enough to consider facts. What Fox News has to do with this is a mystery. You really have the liberal talking points down. The Nazi big lie. If you say it often and loud enough it becomes the truth for most people. Try doing your own research sometime rather than listening to the mush that comes out of the networks these days that is passed off as news. I include Fox in that class. If I depended on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, BBC or NPR for actual facts I might be as badly informed as Media Midget.
