The Bush administration and its Republican enablers, including the late “Kenny Boy” (L’il Bush’s sobriquet for this particular miscreant)Lay, former chairman of Enrob have always been all about the money. Here they are again jumping in on the side of Big Capital. This has been a theft-driven administration in intention from the start. Secret oil industry meetings with the VP who has essentially privatized the office of the VP.

It plain and simple, just “the haves and the have-mores, my base” as L’il Bush has himself said, taking from the have-nots. The disgraceful tax cuts for the very rich few, peanuts for the rest of us. (I sure did relish my extra trip to McD’s, massah!)

Hey let’s start a war in Iraq to get re-elected to continue the stealing….Wasn’t it nearly all Saudis that caused 9-11? Why then didn’t we invade Saudi? Oh, I forgot, they are big financial backers of the Bush family. Hey I know, let’s spread THE BIG LIE that Iraq did 9-11. Let’s have the VP openly and brazenly lie about it numerous times, too. It sure has worked–many Americans still believe that filth. And $4 gasoline, that’s just icing on the cake.

“America held hostage” (sorry, Rush) for another 18 months by this rapacious krewe. No wonder pirate movies and themes are all the rage this summer…we’re just imitating our leadership.

Hey, Karl, hope to see you under oath on Capitol Hill soon–worth missing work for…TIVO won’t be enough fun.

Liberal memories are so incredibly short.

Slick Willie Clinton had Ken Lay stay in the Lincoln bedroom at the white house on many occasions. Enron and Mr. Clinton supported the Kyoto treaty because it represented a huge opportunity to make a lot of money for Enron if the use of traditional fossil fuels was curtailed. Enron also created the carbon credit farce that is making Tubby Gore an even wealthier man than he already was.

As for tax breaks for the wealthy, the wealthy pay almost all of the taxes right now so why shouldn’t they get a break.

I am not wealthy but I don’t have an irrational hatred for those more successful than me.

El Squid, one does not necessarily need to be a liberal in order to disagree with Bush. There was once upon a time when conservatives weren’t sellouts to big business.

Remember, El Squid that many Republicans are now against Bush. That is how Bush has a 29% approval rating. Clinton and Bush should be put in the same jail cell. They could sit around and crook each other to death. Lest we not forget his sidekick Mr. Haliburton/Cheney. This is a corrupt and shameful Whitehouse. How could he not support the Enron shareholders?

El Squid typically I love your posts but this made me shoot diet coke out my nose. Do you really believe the tripe you spewed out? Your quote above is the biggest lie I have ever heard, seen or read. Please show me proof.

    Hi Mary,

It surprised me too when I first learned who pays the taxes in the US. The bottom half of wage earners get all of their taxes back and some get tax credits too. The top 5% of wage earners pay 95% of income taxes. This is from memory but is very close to correct. I will dig up the actual figures and post them. And no, I am not in the top 5%

Sorry about the diet coke- it can burn your sinuses.
