So when does the public get the portion of the settlement money?

PLJ – Excuse me for asking, but what part of the $500,000 do you think the public is going to get if it is split between everyone that was included in the security breach?

The $500,000 should be used to fund a task force to go after these people and stop this sort of thing from happening. Splitting it with the “general public” isn’t going to solve anything –

Choice Point is already offering free credit monitoring services

Go on line to find out more – Just a simple google search produced the following detailed instructions posted on one website – It is of course from 2005 but it was posted right about the time the breach occurred –

What good is a couple of dollars going to do? Buy you a couple of “latte’s” at the local coffee shop?

Get real..Go find more constructive things to do than to think everytime $$ is awarded to the States – it should go to John Q – You can monitor your own credit by taking personal responsibility

There needs to be funding provided to set up ways to catch these people – And thanks to GW it aint commin’ from the White House…
