This is like listening to a cockroach praise the virtues of a clean kitchen. Won\’t this old man shut up? (and Allen Greenspan too).

I am just a small independent insurancwe agent struggling to maintain my book of business, and while commissions continue to fall, operation expenses continue to rise.
Many agents work very hard for their clients. We call them regularly regarding thier coverages, pending cancellations, changes, and the cost continues to grow.
Now some dummies require agents to inform
clients about how much commission we earn or that companies should not give a bonus to agents for educating their clients or
keeping those clients insured? We are
profressionals, we should be earning more than we are currently being paid. I have no problem informing my clients as to how much commision I earn, maybe they can see how little I do earn as to hours I spend servicing them with advice. And, agents should be rewarded for their service by companies they are loyal to.
What about accountants, lawyers who charge a high fee just to talk to you? No limitations there.
I love helping people protect thier assets through insurance. Just imagine a world without insurance or without an insurance agent or advisor.
There are a lot more things to worry about such as corruption, fraud, etc. Not take away from the working man.

This man is legend, not only in insurance but other fields and global accomplicements too.
We knew him as \”King Midas\”
It is a pity and injustice that a charletan
AG with a dedicated political agenda caused the uncalled for havoc on this gentleman and our industry

Mr. Greenberg is, as usual, right. The entire matter could have been and should have been handled differently. Spitzer, however, played the political game well, got what he wanted, settlements, publicity and the governor\’s chair. All he had to do was pick the industry everybody loves to hate.

Crooks do no good for society – only take from same.

Remember this, without insurance no bank would ever give a loan to have a building built, house bought, or a car loan given.

In short without insurance and insurance agents (who meet the classic definition of a \”professional\”)we (all of us) would have nothing we have become accustomed to.

Don\’t you think we deserve to be paid for the good living we allow people to enjoy?

mcheck57 & media mogul- We don\’t take contingent commissions from clients like lawyers or doctors do. Company pay us as an appreciation and remember, we have to sell first before receiving those commissions and we always offer most competitive premium regardless of carrier selection.
