I would like to know under what controls and which geographic area was researched?
    No mention of that!
Maybe the reason premium increases didn\’t occur is because most insurers have seen THE MOST PROFIT they have seen in 20 years and have hedged staff to an alltime low.
Competitive pricing as well as varying automobile policies that are taylored for individuals based on how much they can afford to pay for a premium has some influence on the outcome of the survey too.
No one insurance company is bad unless they provide hideous service and that has everything to do with satisfaction results.
Pay whatever is needed which is the way all claims should be handled and you\’ll have high customer satisfaction.
Contract of utmost god faith, double standard sentence.

Unitrin Specialty is a non standard auto policy. Nobody in their right mind who qualifies for a preferred auto policy should be in this market.

I have an agent who REALLY cares and guided me through the whole claims process. They explained everything and called back to make sure that everything was going smoothly through out the process.
American Family Insurance is THE BEST!!!

Yeah right! I had a client rear-ended by an American Family insured. About a $900 claim. The two adjusters went to the body shop, took out a tape measures and declared that their client could\’t have done the damage and paid about $300 of the claim. There was no prior damage and the repair shop owner just shook his head and actually took care of my client fully anyway. What a cheap outfit!

I have been an independent agent 26 yrs. I find all companies do a poor job on claims. Most company tell us as Agents stay out the claims process, thats their job, of course i tell them i wouldn\’t be in their business of claims if they would take care of my client. Untrin adjustor told me Insured he was deducting 10% from the claim due to Agent intefference. She couldnt get that in writing from adjustor,,, i tried. Progressive is the best I have found,,,USING the preferred body shops. Other wise they are about the same as others.
Someone said stay away from the direct sellers,,, even Unitrin has a direct sell line,,,, they ALL are doing it.

I find that hard to believe. Maybe the body shop was charging too much , if they believed that their client didn\’t do it, they wouldn\’t have paid anything.

Yes, I found it hard to believe and so did the body shop owner. But they said that ALL the damage could not have been done by their unsured, though there was no prior damage before my client was hit. And at $900 for being rear-ended, thats a prety minamal amount of dameage to take care of.

How great is Farmers at handling their claims? Because if I work for Farmers as an agent I would like to know that my clients are taken care of. How do I become an independent agent?
