WHAT PART OF THIS DON\’T YOU UNDERSTAND?

    FLOOD INSURANCE PAID FOR DAMAGE.

WIND DAMAGE IS BEING DENIED BY INSURANCE.

NOT ONE FEMA ADJUSTER DENIED A FLOOD CLAIM BECAUSE IT WAS WIND DAMAGE.

FEMA PAID 100% OF FLOOD AND WIND TOO!

GET OFF OF PEOPLE WHO DID OR DIDN\’T HAVE FLOOD, IT\’S GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH
COMPANIES DENYING CLAIMS FOR WIND DAMAGE.

I HAD FLOOD, STILL FIGHTING FOR WIND DAMAGES AND LOSS OF RENT AND LOSS OF USE, THEY ARE TRYING TO BLAME THAT ON WATER TOO. EASY TO POINT YOUR FINGER.
CALL US WHEN THEY STICK IT TO YOU.

People who are not in the Insurance Business, really do not understand the policy, nor do they read the small print.
Most do not have the time and they don\’t understand it anyway.

Afterall, Insurance is Not Their Business.

How many people can read their Own Doctors report or understand Medical Records if they are not in the Medical Field?

    #1Policy Holder Mistake:
    Trusting the Company because
it is one of the Top 5 in the USA.

What is more insulting, The Homeowner has to show proof to have claims paid.

Where is the Proof that the Insurance Has to Deny Claims.

CHECK YOUR LOSS OF USE BENEFITS:
    If your home is Uninhabitable,
Ins must Pay Monthly with a Cap Amount.

    Example:
    $3,800 per month or
    max of $38,000 per occurance

State Farm denied this claim too
because they said Home is Uninhabitable because of the Water!
    Duh…
Like Katrina winds did not do any damage?
What blew the Roof off of the Superdome? What Blew High Rise Windows Out?

American People Must Stand United and Demand Justice for all.

    WE ARE…THE PEOPLE !

We are already divided in too many sections, and we are not as strong as we think we are…

For Example: Where is Bin Lauden?

    Republican VS Democrat

    Black VS White

    Male VS Female

    Catholic VS Jewish, Baptist, etc.

    Gay VS Straight

    Rich VS Poor

Good VS Bad That\’s What Should Matter !

    WE MUST REBUILD ON TRUTH!
a solid foundation, that will not crumble…

    God Bless America…We\’re In Trouble.

If we don\’t make a change, this will happen to our children & grandchildren.

    Every American Family has problems.

    Stand Together As One Nation
    Help One Another.

It\’s the right thing to do..
    and it\’s free!

God HAD to have had A reason WHY….
Why he allowed Katrina to destroy homes & cities in LA and MS.
He is tired of watching his children betray each other for the love of money.

It\’s time to clean up and rebuild our lives. Forgive your mistakes and turn the page. Begin by Doing The Right Thing.

Denounce all of the wolves in sheep clothing by their name!
You can\’t hurt people and get away with it. You can\’t take one penny with you when you die.
God can see behind all closed doors.

    GOD IS CRYING …

Oh Please, give me a break. Just because someone is too lazy to read their policy or ask their agent questions on flood, doesn\’t mean the rest of us should pay for their ignorance and laziness. You talk about where we are headed. You are right, we are headed downward as we have dumbed down our schools and turned america into an entitlement state. What ever happened to work for what you want and take personal responsibility. These days everybody wants something for nothing and show no responsibility when things go wrong. I say, to hell with them. Let\’s cull the herd and get back to basics.

I totally agree with compman! I am sick of these people who did not purchase flood insurance and then sue the companies for not covering their claims. I believe that no matter where you live in this country you should have flood insurance. Sure it may be more expensive in coastal areas where there is a higher risk factor but come on folks if you are not in a flood hazard zone the coverage is CHEAP! Ignorance is no excuse. Agents get those non-flood/wind purchase waivers signed by the cheapskates that don\’t want protect themselves.

It is nice to read comments from people who understand the insurance business. Judges in this country are going to be the ruination. It\’s not just common knowledge that flood is not covered under a homeowners policy, it\’s fact! It\’s a shame the Katrina victims lost everything and you can feel for them, but they also had the choice to purchase a flood policy and didn\’t want to spend the bucks, especially living in a coastal area! Now we have judges reinterpreting insurance contracts. The Mierzwa Decision started the whole thing, the system is all messed up and the judges are compounding the problem. Gee, why aren\’t there any companies willing to write homeowners ins. in LA, MS and FL? DUH!!!!!

I must fully agree with all previous posts except the first. One thing troubles me though… if people aren\’t smart enough to read/understand their policies, what makes anyone think they\’d be smart enough to understand that they \”AGREE THAT BY SIGNING THE FOLLOWING, YOU UNDERSTAND THAT FLOOD IS NOT, NEVER WAS, AND NEVER WILL BE COVERED BY THIS POLICY.\” People are just too dumb when it\’s convenient, or when there\’s money involved. Happy New Year to all!

Unfortunate but so true, people are stupid. But like I said before, ignorance is no excuse. The waivers do work though. I am a FL agent and when one of our customers complained that he was not covered by flood and contacted an attorney we shot the waiver he signed to the attorney and the attorney told him to drop it. No case there, it was offered and he declined to purchase. Amazingly, the client then purchased a flood policy.

Julio you are right on. However, I don\’t think it\’s people are dumb, they are smart because all they need to do is blame their insurance agent! They go around saying they do not understand their policy, but they sign supplemental waivers that are written in English, but then amnesia sets in and just blame the rich insurance companies! They\’ll pay, but in the end we all pay!!!

I understand that there are some companies like State Farm and Nationwide who split hairs between defining wind and water. The problem still lies with judges reinterpreting homeowners policies and clients blaming agents and insurance companies for not purchasing Flood Insurance or understanding their policy. Yes FEMA paid for flood damage (well US taxpayers paid), but the majority of people who got paid by FEMA did not purchase a flood policy through the normal channels. They looked to the Federal Government to bail them out at the time of loss, for not being prudent and purchasing the proper policies, especially those who live in coastal areas. So to Survivin Katrina, you may be caught in the system and lumped into the pile of those who did not take the initiative to properly insured their property and buy a flood policy.
