Atkins also died of heart related problems. I would be surprised if in his book he did not have a disclaimer to check with your physician before starting any diet as most of these self help, diet books all state to check with your physician first.

Stupidity is dangerous, and we haven\’t seen any lawsuits about it.

I think the claimant and his attorney should both be euthanized.

It\’s a shame stupidity isn\’t painful. Don\’t need to euthanize the claimant and his attorney…just put them on the Atkins diet!!

Atkins died of complications from a head wound caused by falling on ice. Yes, he had heart problems as well but that is not why he died.

I thought it interested that when I went to the diabetes educator after being diagnosed with diabetes and reactive hypoglycemia, the diet that was recommended was very similar to the later stages of Atkins.

I was on Weight Watchers for years and rarely lost anything. On Atkins, I\’ve lost over 55 pounds and kept it off for years. No diet is the magic solution for everyone – what works for one will not work for others.

As with everything, moderation is the key.
