As a coach I am somewhat skeptical. Kids thses days are not as tough as they used to be. One of the problems I had in coaching girls soccer and lacrosse was girls complaining about injuries just to get out of practice. When I told them they couldnt play in the game they would heal up very quickly. Even players with a docters note would end up running sprints after a stern talking to. One girl even complained when I had the uniforms changed to shorten the shorts. I thought the girls would be able to run faster.

I think the bigger problem still is overprotective parents and the current health insurance plan which makes it all too easy and encourages sending your kids to the ER for anything or even nothing at all. The injuries reported will rise if EVERY injury is reported, like is happening today.
