Insurance is just that. It is there to fill a need. Why some contractors get away without it year after year, I\’ll never uderstand.

As a General Contractor and Appraiser I am required to have Liability insurance, at least on all the properties I work on.All multi family HOA properties usually require it.
I do damage assesment after fire, flood, etc.
And then we do the rebuilding also.

My comment, I know for a fact after 30 plus years in the building industry, most subs do not understand it at all. And most Contractors think they are smart by getting away without it or they do not understand it. More knowledge is needed to help them understand it better.
