I love the troops and I am grateful for those who are signing up to serve our country for such an unpopular war however I want the troops out of Iraq by 2008 and we can do that if we start now. The Democrats are getting a chance to advance an agenda…now they\’ve got to show the country what they\’ve got to offer.

All parties need to \’clean up their act\’ and I\’d like to see \”truth in advertising\” applicable to political campaigns. If there was a requirement when purchasing commercial air-time that if your advertisement proves to be false or misleading that you had to give up your time and permit the other candidate to use that time to \”clear the record\” you would not see the dirty campaigns we\’ve been forced to endure.

I love seeing the republicans lose control- no more Mark Foley, Jack Abramoff, Duke, Haggard. The conservative movement is a total joke.

The thing I love most is seeing these hardline \”conservatives\” getting caught hitting on under age boys and doing crystal meth- this is comedy!!

If only our country realized Iraq was a mistake back in 2004- I remember I used to feel like an outsider because I\’ve always been antiwar and sure enough all the PWT in the \”Heartland\” are realizing that fighting for Iraqi democracy is a waste of time and American\’s lives.

    Cheers to election results.

Well, well, well. Poor White Trash in the heartland, Stupid troops stuck in Iraq. After decades of \”concern\” for the working class and the average citizen, its refreshing to hear such honest diatribe. I hope Commissar Pilosi and Comrade Reid will be as frank and revealing as you are. After all; look how well their style and programs have worked for France. More Socialism please; mae-wee.

I\’m kinda glad to see the other side get a chance at bat, too.

But I don\’t think this is going to be the fix-all solution to the multitude of issues with our government. BOTH parties contibuted to the problems and both sides need to learn to work together on more effectively serving ALL the citizens of this country.

Hopefully they\’ll get in there and clean things up, make some changes, bring our troops home… however, I\’m not holding my breath.

I would like to see less focus on christian values and more focus on representation of all faiths (and even representation for those who don\’t follow a particular faith or are anti-religion).

Most of all, I would like to see a tiny bit of federal regulation of the industry, especially in the areas of licensing and also surplus lines.

Crossed fingers, but no high hopes.

Little Frog- never claimed to be a socialist or crazy lefty. In fact, I voted republican for a couple of key positions here in California. I don\’t think much will change with Dems in power so don\’t get too excited. Also, never said anything bad about the troops. I have friends in the military and I have a lot of respect for them. However, I do find it ironic how the heartland votes for republicans who promise to cut taxes, have smaller goverment, etc. when in fact the deficit has grown under their control and the tax cuts have only really benefitted the rich. My point on why it\’s so great to see the hardline evangilical stumble (Foley, Haggard), is because they are condescending and hypocritical- hopefully they will burn in hell for their \”sins.\”

    Dear Frog,

Funny you should say that as Bush and Co. were the closest things we ever had to Communist Russia in the US.

Now that some balance will be restored to the 3 branches of government, maybe, just maybe both sides will calm down enough by the start of the 2007 session to work together instead of shoving agendas down the throats of the other side.

The Republicans were spanked and humbled — as were the Democrats before them. Now that they both know how it feels to be on both sides, maybe something will finally get done.

What a great victory this past Tuesday!!! Everyone knows, but few admit the government knows and does what is best for you people. Can\’t wait to see the new programs, healthcare for all, no more hurricanes, terrortists hugging Christians and Jews. And you people thought socialism was dead. Ha!!!

Please permit me to correct you. Barney Frank did not run a prostitution ring out of his townhouse. His former lover was involved in male prostitution and there was activity at his townhouse and once he discovered it that lover was history. That investigation grew out of the Post Office scandal of 1994…another Republican driven opportunity. I am not a fan of Barney Frank but he doesn\’t deserve that insult.

Barney Frank\’s \”lover\” was a prostitute? And which new townhouse did he move him to? Ted Kennedy swam the Chappaquiddick creek, but he wasn\’t negligent either.

You kumbaya singing so-called moderates ought to pull your heads from the sand. Moderates are always the most opinionated, and cloak themselves as \”above\” politics. Truth be told they are almost always liberals who believe themselves to have \”evolved\”, which is as phony as it gets.
