Has it ever occurred to the fine folks at NHTSA that actually teaching people how to drive would work even better than stability control computers? Our drivers\’ ed programs teach people how to get a license which is not the same thing as learning how to drive. I speak from experience as a part time instructor for a huge national drivers\’ ed provider.
A well trained driver can still possibly benefit from electronic doo dads in their cars but if the doo dad fails the driver has no idea how to recover from the loss of control probably precipitated by driver error in the first place.
