Swett & Crawford has announced new additions to their staff in offices nationwide.
Margaret Jacobs moves to the Swett & Crawford Chicago office as director, Healthcare Practice Group, from Aon Risk Services where she was managing director of the National Healthcare Practice overseeing, a $2 billion health care book. In her 16 years with Aon, she moved from account executive to a manager of the Chicago health care practice, to regional syndication manager and national health care syndication manager. Prior to her long association with Aon, she was an account executive and assistant vice president at the Chicago Office of Marsh & McLennan.
Carter Thompson, most recently senior vice president, group leader Professional and Management Liability Division at Stewart Smith Group in New York, has jointed the Swett & Crawford Irvine office as professional lines broker. Prior to his work at Stewart Smith, he was an assistant vice president at the Global Banking/Financial products Division (FINPRO) of Marsh, Inc. in New York.
Nicholas Capik, an underwriting specialist for middle market accounts joins the Irvine office from Safeco Property & Casualty Companies, where he underwrote workers compensation and coordinated facultative reinsurance on property and auto. His experience also includes account underwriting on property, liability, E&O and workers comp for Fireman’s Fund/Allianz AG.
Sharla Martin becomes a broker in the Swett & Crawford Dallas office. Her previous experience includes two years at Western Security Surplus as an assistant vice president and senior broker of general contracts, and artisan contractors, hotel/motel, restaurant/bar and apartment coverages and eight years as a senior account executive with Hull & Company General Agency.
David Guest has moved to the West Coast where he joins Swett & Crawford’s Irvine office as a broker. He most recently served as a business development manager for McAuley Woods & Associates in West Palm Beach, Fla., where he specialized in general liability, excess/umbrella and property placements.
Brian Johnson brings his underwriting skills to the Boston office of Swett & Crawford as an underwriting specialist. He had been underwriting operations manager and senior production underwriter for four programs at Willis of New Hampshire. He also worked as managing underwriter, consulting underwriter and senior underwriter at The Pal Group (Property, Auto, Liability and Umbrella) at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group.
Kathryn Lewis returns to Swett & Crawford in Seattle as a property broker after nine years at Admiral Insurance Company where she was a senior property underwriter in both package and property accounts.
Jacob Hendricks, a recent graduate of Brigham Young University, joins the Boise office as a broker. He brings experience as a life insurance agent with American Income Life Insurance.
Nicholas Ward joins the Minneapolis office from Burns & Wilcox where he served as an assistant underwriter of Property and Casualty accounts, with a special emphasis on transportation business.
Harold Field comes to Swett & Crawford in New York as a professional lines broker from a position as a vice president/wholesale broker at Westrope Associates in Short Hills, N.J. Prior to this brokering career he served as a regional underwriting manager for Zurich NA/Specialties where he managed an underwriting production team that was focused on large public company D&O, EPL, fiduciary liability, crime and kidnap & ransom.
Daniel Myer has joined the Clearwater office as a broker from Marsh Advantage America, the national internal wholesaler for the small business segment of Marsh, Inc, where he was an assistant vice president. His experience includes management liability, professional liability, general property and casualty and financial product placement.
