Did anyone get some planning done for Nagin? You can clearly see that he in incapable of doing any thinking in an emergency situation. I think the rest of the States were pretty much in line with what to do in case of… with the exception of Nagin, the Chocolate City\’s go to guy who had no clue & then tried to pass off the blame onto others. I bet he was in management in his previous work, do nothing & when it hits the fan it was all someone else\’s fault! God Bless America!

\”The first response belongs in the hands of those closest to the incident, those state and local officials who are putting together the evacuation plans and shelter locations and educating their residents on when to evacuate, where to go and what to do,\” Paulison explained. \”It also means that individuals have the first responsibility in making their own preparations to protect their families, pets and property and should heed their local officials when evacuation orders are given.\”

Hi Amen – I just copied & pasted the statement off the article – it was about the only part of it that really had something to say regarding the responsibilities of those in the areas where the hurricanes actually make landfall.
