Its not easy trying to get Independent Agents to sell your product when you are directly competing with them. I would not want that job either.

His conscience must have gotton to him, but I bet he is the first with Progressive to have any feeling as to what Progressive does to agents!!!

THE HARTFORDS BEEN DOING IT WITH THE AARP
FOR A LONG TIME. ONE OF OUR PROBLEMS WHEN WE HAD THE HARDFORD WAS WE HAD TO DEAL WITH AN UNDERWRITER, I DON\’T THINK THEY UNDERWRITE THE AARP SUBMISSIONS MUCH. GOOD FOR THE TOWN DRUNK…

Ihave been writing with Progressive/Drive for over 5 years. Yeah im not crazy they compete directly against me,, however my rates can beat the direct rates.
Great rates, service that beats any other company around, it\’s been great for my agency.

Our agency deals with Progressive and I hate the fact they compete against us. The moment I find a quality carrier that can do about the same as Progressive – GOOD-BY PROGRESSIVE!

Ind agent: You may like the \”big P\” now but wait until the Progressive brand gets enough market share and they will go direct and leave you in the dust.

I still write with Progressive but why in the world should I deal with a competitor? What an opportunity for some other insurance company. Unfortunately insurance company employees have no sales experience and probably cannot recognize it.

In the future Progressive Direct, like GEICO, will come upon the flaw of their business plans; which is too much urban business! At this point Progressive will have angered most of their agency plant beyound repair.
