Not only that, is the less than 3 mile assumption not realistic but how many 45 year old single males drive mini vans?

I\’m also surprised to see the checy cobalt on the list of cheapest to insure. I\’m used to seeing small cars priced higher in the insurance market due to strog correlations with young drivers.

This article,as presented,is useless. Clearly,Liability premiums are the same for both groups—- therefore, the difference must be in the Theft Component of the Comprehensive premiums on the more desirable cars.Certainly, this small higher price should not stand in the way in the decision to buy(excepting Corolla)a better, higher rated, car.

Just another meaningless article which can only add to the confusion of people who think they are gathering lots of \’\’facts\’\’ to help them choose their next car.
After their purchase the just endure frustration because nothing is as they thought it was going to be.

Because you\’re curious, I drive just under three miles down one busy road to get to work. I\’d ride my bicycle, but in this town that\’d be endangering my life, even when it isn\’t raining…

I thought symbols determined teh relative cost to insure vehicles. I guess I won\’t be trading in my Ferrari for an Explorer now.

I used to be 3 miles from work. My car muffler regularly rusted out. Not enough running time to dry it out.

Also note, this is the top 20 vehicles purchased, rating those 1-20. It doesn’t compare all vehicles on the market and then also it is going by what Esurance would charge, funny how they don’t write in all states. So, not all that accurate.

I really love when people believe every thing that a dealer tells them, like the Chevy Cavalier is cheaper to insure because it cost less to buy. Yeah, and most of the people who purchase/drive a Cavalier are under 25. It\’s like Hyundai’s. I hate it people buy Hyundai and then are pissed when the premium increases so much! One time I had someone mad at me b/c she had a basic Ford Explorer, she traded it in for a brand new Ford Taurus SES and her premium increased. “Well the dealer told me that it would be less because it is a Sedan and not a SUV.” My question is, did you call us first to get a quote to c/r the vehicle before you purchased it.

I love my customers that call ahead of time so they aren’t so shocked. I did have one customer is Colorado that admitted he should have giving us a call to get a quote before he purchased a Hyundai.
