    Dear Florida,

Unless rates get a lot more adequate and your insurance department starts to let up on carriers a little, you\’re in for BIG trouble when the new models are released.

    Best wishes.

Don\’t talk to me about adequate rates. Unless you live here in FL., I don\’t want to hear it. I live in a manufactured home in FL. My home is valued at $100,000. I pay $1,900 a year for homeowners. Note, I am NOT on the water. I am mid-east FL. That rate is 400% higher than a comparable home in the north. Now maybe that is not adequate for the risk, but isn\’t insurance suppose to be affordable??? What happened to the \”law of large numbers\” or \”spread of risk\”??? Am I going to be paying for the fires in Texas, the tornados in the mid-west, the landslides, earthquakes and fires in California and snow storm damage done in the north?? And let\’s not forget we will all be paying for Hurricane Katrina. I feel that at $1,900 for a $100,000 home is ADEQUATE!!!!

That $1900 for a $100000 mobile home is one of the best rates out there. Don\’t lose that policy!
