While I would agree that the symptoms described that relate to allergic reactions can be attributed to mold, the relationship between mold and \”nervous system disorders\” has never, to my knowledge, passed the Daubert test.

Rather, these \”nervous disorders\” appear to be either additional manifestation of allergic reactions (sinus headaches), or anxiety reactions brought on by these hyped warnings of mold exposure.

Certainly, breathing in mold, having skin contact with mold, and orally ingesting mold are all to be avoided. But, let\’s remember to keep the warnings accurate based upon known science, and not the never proven by scientific method ramblings of the plaintiff experts.

I agree Daubert, i get all those same symptons every rag weed season. It would not be good for me to \”live\” in a house with a lot of ragweed either. Mold can be killed with clorine, or tilex. It never was the dangerous item that the media and legal system said it was.I like now the policies have been re-written and there is no money for the lawyers, the problem is not nearly as bad.

In addition to post hurricane situations, part-time residents need to consider hiring a company that specializes in “watching” homes while owners are away. Checking for beginning signs of mold and mildew is extremely important.
