As a member of a farming family, I can attest that the use of ATVs on our farm is a business necessity–it is not merely a sport. We use the vehicles on a daily basis to check our fields and to work on our farm. Myself and my three younger brothers have all used ATVs since the age of 7. Sure we used them for fun at times, but a majority of the time is spent using them to help our parents operate the farm. I am absolutely shocked to see that any committee thinks that the government could even begin to regulate this type of usage. My 14 year old brother also drives a grain cart for my father while he combines. This involves driving a $200,000 4-wheel drive Ford tractor. What’s the government going to do about that? Nothing. That’s right. Nothing. So what impact are ATV regulations going to have? You guessed it–nothing.

You have to respond to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. I am still researching where. I will post it when I find it.
The number of ATV’s in use has also exploded. The increase of accidents probably correlates with that.
