    Anytime you compre paid benefits to premiums you have a flawed study. No where does the study take into account increase in exposures, reserves for lawsuits and open claims, etc. In addition, jurisdictional quirks complicate matters. Wish someone would once compare apples with apples!

    Hooper Holmes, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, provides outsourced risk assessment services to the life and health insurance industry, and medical evaluation and claims management services to the automobile insurance industry and the WORKER’S COMPENSATION industry in the United States and the United Kingdom. The company provides paramedical and medical examinations, including blood and urine specimen collection, primarily in connection with insurance carriers’ processing and evaluation of the risks associated with underwriting insurance policies; tele-underwriting, telephone personal health interviews, and medical records retrieval;

    My notes: This is the kind of flawed medical records retention advantage for the Insurance Carrier’s, I as one of those jerked around injured worker’s has to contend with in getting the correct diagnosis and prognosis. This HELPS nobody. And be sure that my memory and retention of personal records do not compare to the onslot of partner’s sharing of objective medical records.

    and laboratory testing services. In addition, it provides medical claims services, which primarily includes the arrangement of independent medical exams
    for the purpose of determining the nature, source, and extent of injury to insurance adjusters for use in processing accident claims, primarily on behalf of property and casualty insurance carriers.

    My notes: You betcha this is exactly how it is applied. PRIMARILY DISFUNCTIONAL, FOR THE PATIENTS TRUE MEDICAL HISTORY RECORDINGS AND ANY THERE AFTER.

    In addition, Hooper Holmes provides other services, including the preparation of general practitioner reports for the legal, corporate, and insurance industries; underwriting of life insurance policies on an outsourced basis, without the mortality risks attendant to such underwriting activity; and pre and post employment physical examination screening services for public transportation and corporate agencies. Hooper Holmes operates through approximately 160 branch offices and 76 contractor affiliate offices located in the United States and the United Kingdom. The company is based in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

    I agree!!..

    Also..These studies never account for carriers or TPA’s who mishandle claims which in turn lead to higher claim costs than necessary…
