Merastar Insurance Chooses First Notice Systems for 24 X 7 Claim Reporting, Customer Service

Merastar Insurance Company, a specialist in employer-sponsored personal automobile and homeowners’ insurance, and First Notice Systems’ Inc., a provider in claim-reporting solutions for the insurance industry, announced that Merastar has implemented First Notice Systems’ Inc as its 24X7 claim reporting and customer service solution partner.

FNS’ ClaimCapture platform will handle all claims for Merastar, reported via all available channels such as telephone, fax and Internet. The FNOL data will be transmitted in real time to Merastar’s claims management system for adjudication. After signing the contract, the Merastar-FNS program was designed, developed, tested and put into live production by FNS in less than 60 days.

Phase two of the implementation will include connecting Merastar’s policyholders with an auto body shop from a database of Merastar preferred body shops (DRP program). These preferred body shops have committed to work quality and guaranteed turnaround times. Phase two will also include automatic police report ordering if a claim meets Merastar defined criteria. The police reporting program takes advantage of First Notice Systems’ partnership with Choicepoint.
